Carrie Williamson Marketing Wins AMA Award for Jammin’ for Japan

Carrie Williamson Marketing and Bertman Design Studio won the Event Marketing 2012 Marketing Award of Excellence from the American Marketing Association New Orleans for Jammin’ for Japan.

Held on April 10, 2011, an A-list of New Orleans bands packed the Rock ‘N’ Bowl for Jammin’ for Japan, a benefit concert that raised money for and awareness of the NOLA Japan Quake Fund, a 501©3 created for the people of Japan who suffered from the catastrophic effects of the earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011 and subsequent nuclear disaster.

The marketing and branding campaign, which began on March 16, was instrumental in helping to make it a success, raising over $55,000 in just 3+ weeks. The campaign included branding, social media, grassroots marketing, public relations and corporate outreach.
